Slow Food + Slow Writing Write-In

At this Slow Food Middle Tennessee and The Porch event, we'll celebrate the virtues of slowing down to embrace the creative process and joy in writing, cooking, eating, and drinking.

Whether you're a published author or a writing novice, you'll be inspired by fun, open-ended writing prompts to get the creative juices flowing, and you'll get to learn about ways to incorporate "slowness" into your writing, cooking, and eating practices. Plus, we'll hear from Diskin Cider's chef Jeremy Britt about the cider fermentation process and how the cidery sources its ingredients.

Enjoy a complimentary snack from Diskin Cider, or order something off the brunch menu as "we write to taste life twice." (Quote by Anais Nin.) This event is free and open to the public. Slow Food Middle Tennessee members will each receive a free drink ticket to use on one of Diskin's delicious ciders.

Stir the pot and let it simmer to get those creative juices flowing. Marinate alongside a community of Nashville creatives passionate about telling the story of our food and culinary heritage. Immerse yourself in a creative, sensory experience, and learn how to "Slow the Fork Down."
