Founded in 2017, Slow Food Middle Tennessee is a local chapter of Slow Food USA. An international grassroots movement, Slow Food seeks to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, counteract the rise of fast life and combat people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, and how our food choices affect the world around us.

Slow Food Middle Tennessee strives to:

  1. facilitate accessible educational programs;

  2. provide awareness of and equal access to good, clean and fair foods; and

  3. advocate for a healthy, delicious, sustainable and diverse food system for the community of Middle Tennessee.
